【브레이크뉴스 청송】이성현 기자=청송군(군수 윤경희)은 지난 23일, 24일 양일간 베트남 동탑성과 옌바이성에서 외국인 계절근로자 유치 업무협약(MOU)을 체결했다고 25일 밝혔다.
군은 이번 협약을 통해 베트남 호치민 인근의 동탑성과 하노이 인근의 옌바이성 두 지역과 안정적인 계절근로자 인력 도입 방안과 더불어 다양한 분야에서 상호 교류 및 협력 방안을 논의했다.
이번 협약은 계절근로자 송출 국가의 정세 변화에 대비하고자 청송군이 추진한 전략적인 조치이다.
특히, 두 지역과의 협약을 통해 외국인 계절근로자 수요 증가에 적극 대응할 수 있게 되어, 고령화와 인구 감소로 인해 농번기 인력 부족 문제를 겪고 있는 농가에 실질적인 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.
윤경희 청송군수는 “매년 반복되는 농촌 일손 부족 문제의 해결책으로 외국인 계절근로자 도입을 확대하고, 체결국을 다양화함으로써 변화하는 국제 정세와 농가의 수요에 신속하게 대응할 수 있도록 하겠다.”며 “이번 협약이 계절근로자 유치를 넘어 청송사과 수출 등 다양한 분야에서 양국 간 교류 협력의 초석이 되길 바란다.”고 밝혔다.
한편, 이번 방문에서 청송군은 대한민국 대표브랜드인 ‘청송사과’가 해외에서도 자리 잡을 수 있도록 베트남 수도인 하노이와 경제수도인 호치민의 대형 농산물 시장 및 마켓을 방문해 청송사과 수출에 대한 방법도 모색했다.

Meanwhile, during this visit, Cheongsong County visited large agricultural products markets and markets in Hanoi, the capital of Vietnam, and Ho Chi Minh City, the economic capital, to explore ways to export Cheongsong apples so that the representative brand of Korea, ‘Cheongsong apples,’ can establish itself overseas.
