[브레이크뉴스경기남부=용인 이현준기자] 이상일 용인특례시장은 9일 수지구 죽전동 수지아르피아 대운동장에서 열린 ‘제2회 용인특례시 유소년 꿈나무 축구대회’에 참석해 이번 대회에 참가한 어린이들을 격려했다.

이 시장은 “여러분들이 연습하는 모습을 잠시 지켜봤는데 실력이 다들 대단하다는 것을 느꼈다”며 “이번 대회에서 그동안 훈련한 기량을 맘껏 발휘해 좋은 성적을 거두고, 무엇보다 모두가 다치지 않길 바란다”고 말했다.

이 시장은 또 “10월 15일 용인미르스타디움에서 우리나라 남자 국가대표 축구팀 A매치 북중미 월드컵 3차 예선 이라크전이 열리는데 우리 대표팀이 승리해 월드컵 본선에 진출할 수 있도록 여러분도 응원을 많이 해주길 바란다”며 “여러분 가운데서도 축구선수를 꿈꾸는 어린이들이 있다면 열심히 해서 꼭 월드컵 무대에 올라 우리나라를 빛내주길 바란다”고 당부했다.
