체코를 공식 방문한 윤석열 대통령이 20일(현지시간) 밀로쉬 비스트르칠 체코 상원의장을 만나 총 24조 규모 두코바니 원전 사업 관련해 체코 의회 관심·지원을 당부했다.
윤 대통령은 이날 오후 체코 상원의사당에서 비스트르칠 상원의장을 만나 "한·체코가 1990년 수교 이래 긴밀한 우호 협력 관계를 발전시켜 왔다"며 "지정학적 도전에도 불구 선진 자유민주주의 국가로 발돋움하며 경제성장을 이룩한 두 나라가 내년에 10주년을 맞이하는 전략적 동반자 관계 심화를 위해 함께 노력해 나가길 기대한다"고 말했다.
그러면서 "비스트르칠 의장이 과거 주지사를 역임한 비소치나주에 건설될 두코바니 신규 원전 사업이 한·체코 관계의 새로운 장을 여는 분기점이 될 것"이라며 "이 사업이 앞으로 한·체코 미래 지향적 협력 이정표로 거듭날 수 있도록 적극 노력할 것"이라고 말했다.
