[브레이크뉴스경기남부=수원 이현준기자] 수원시는 ‘2025 수원 ITS 아태총회’ 포럼을 개최한다.
수원시와 2025 수원 ITS 아태총회 조직위원회, 아주대학교, 경기대학교, 수원시정연구원은 최근 서면으로 업무협약을 체결하고, 협력을 약속했다.
5개 기관은 관·학·연 공동 학술포럼을 개최해 수원 ITS 아태총회 관련 공통 이슈를 발굴하고, 의제를 제안하기로 했다. 또 수원시 정책발굴을 위한 학술 연구·활동을 하는 등 수원 ITS 아태총회의 성공적인 개최를 위해 적극적으로 협력하기로 했다.
2025 수원 ITS 아태총회 관·학·연 공동 학술포럼은 10월 15일 수원컨벤션센터 컨벤션홀3에서 열린다. ‘국내 ITS 2030 기본계획 및 국내·외 기술 동향’, ‘교통안전 향상을 위한 빅데이터 및 AI 활용’을 주제로 한 2개 세션이 진행된다.
수원시 관계자는 “2025 수원 ITS 아태총회의 성공적인 개최를 위해 공동학술 포럼을 마련하고, 학술 활동에 적극적으로 협력해 주신 4개 기관에 감사드린다”며 “서로의 지혜를 나눠 수원시의 ITS가 한 단계 성장하는 기회로 만들어 나가자”고 말했다.
국토교통부와 수원시가 공동 주최하는 2025 수원 ITS 아태총회는 ‘ITS가 제시하는 초연결도시(Hyper-Connected Cities by ITS)’를 주제로 내년 5월 28일부터 30일까지 수원컨벤션센터와 수원시 일원에서 열린다. 장·차관 등 고위급 회의, 학술세션, 전시회·비즈니스 상담회, 기술시연·시찰, 시민 참여 프로그램 등으로 진행된다. ITS(지능형교통체계)는 교통수단과 교통시설에 첨단 정보통신기술을 적용해 안정성·편의성을 높이는 시스템이다.
