(브레이크뉴스인천 박상도 기자) 인천시교육청북구도서관이 20일, 말레이시아의 성가이 케르타스 중등학교(SMK SUNGAI KERTAS)와 국제교류 사업 추진을 위한 업무협약을 체결했다고 밝혔다.
북구도서관에 따르면, 협약식에는 이재길 북구도서관장 및 관계자와 해리슨(Harisson) 말레이시아 SMK 학교장과 학생들이 참석했다.
양 기관은 이번 협약으로 자료 및 문화교류 활동을 전개하는 등 상호 우호적 관계에서 문화 다양성 존중과 세계시민으로서의 역량 강화를 위해 협력한다.
SMK 학교장, 학생 30여명은 국제문화 교류 사업을 위해 부평여자고를 방문해 북구도서관에서 준비한 우리나라 문화 소개 도서 전달식을 가졌다.
도서는 말레이시아 학생들의 수업 교재로 활용되어 한국어 및 한국 문화를 이해하는 데 도움이 될 것으로 기대된다.
북구도서관 관계자는 “이번 업무협약이 말레이시아 청소년들에게 책을 통해 우리나라 문화를 소개하는 기회가 되었길 바란다”며 “앞으로 다양한 문화교류를 통해 읽걷쓰가 확산되도록 노력하겠다“고 말했다.
또한, 인천시교육청북구도서관이 오는 10월 8일 ‘책과 함께하는 독서인문기행’으로 김중미 작가의 장편소설 ‘모두깜언’ 인천걷기 탐방을 운영한다고 밝혔다.
북구도서관에 따르면, 책과 함께하는 독서인문기행에서는 ‘모두 깜언’을 SNS에서 함께 읽고, 소설의 배경지인 강화도 삼흥리 산문 마을 지역을 작가와 함께 걸으며 등장인물에 관한 이야기를 듣는다.
