김포시, 제17회 김포 세계인 큰잔치 개최

[브레이크뉴스경기남부=김포 이현준기자] 김포시는 제17회 김포 세계인 큰잔치를 개최했다.

지난 29일 한강중앙공원에서 ‘김포에 사는 우리’라는 콘셉트로 김포를 선택한 이주민들에 대한 환영의 메시지를 전달하고 상호문화를 통한 소통과 교류의 확대를 목표로 개최됐다.

이번 김포 세계인 큰잔치에서는 15개국 출신 이주민 공동체뿐 아니라, 미8군 록밴드도 함께 해 명실상부한 대한민국 최고의 상호문화도시임을 입증했다. 올해는 대한민국과 미합중국의 상호방위조약에 체결되고 그 협정문의 효력이 발생한날로부터 70주년이 되는 해라 그 의미를 더했다.

김병수 시장은 이날 기념사에서 “‘김포에 사는 우리’를 슬로건으로 한 제17회 김포 세계인 큰잔치는 과거의 우리에서 나아가 새로운 우리로 함께 성장하는 모습을 담고 있다. 다문화를 넘어 상호문화를 선도하고 있는 김포시는 세계인의 소통과 화합의 장을 매년 열고 있으며, 이를 통해 밝고 건강한 상호문화주의가 정착할 것으로 기대하고 있다”며 “김포는 세계인이 만나는 가장 첫번째 도시로, 문화로 어우러지고 함께 즐기는 긍정 시너지가 김포 세계인 큰잔치만의 차별점이다. 이를 통해 김포가 세계문화교류의 중심지로 거듭나길 기대한다”고 말했다.

이날 행사는 시에 거주하는 15개국 출신 이주민 공동체의 문화와 놀이, 음식 체험 부스, 가족과 함께 하는 명랑운동회 프로그램으로 이어졌다. KBS 김현욱 아나운서(공채 26기)의 사회로 시작한 이날 행사 기념식에서는 2024년도 외국인주민 정착지원 분야 유공자에 대한 표창 시상이 진행됐으며 주식회사 오토코리아 대표 박윤근 씨, 김포시가족센터 김희연 씨 및 양중하 씨, 외국인주민지원센터 김은화 씨가 그간의 공로를 인정 받았다.

이번 ‘김포 세계인 큰잔치’를 축하하기 위한 공연으로는 나종욱 씨가 이끄는 브라스퀸텟(금관 5중주), 1세대 다문화가수 박일준 씨와 김포시 거주 내·외국인 청년 합창단 ‘위더스’의 노래 협연, KBS ‘불후의 명곡’에서 감동적인 공연으로 국민들에게 잘 알려진 미얀마 출신 가수 완이화 씨, 퓨전 국악밴드 ‘소유’, 김포대학교 K-pop 댄스팀의 프리스타일 춤 공연이 진행됐다. 이밖에도 미얀마, 캄보디아, 베트남, 러시아 공연단의 전통 춤과 노래, 악기 공연, 이주민 태권도 시범단의 무술시연으로 꾸며졌다.
