골프존 G투어 여자부 6차대회 심지연 우승

심지연이 ‘롯데렌탈 롯데렌터카 G투어’ 우먼스(WOMEN’S) 6차 결선에서 우승을 차지했다.

주식회사 골프존(각자 대표이사 박강수·최덕형)은 9월 22일 대전 골프존 조이마루 경기장에서 펼쳐진 ‘2024 롯데렌탈 롯데렌터카 G투어’ 여자부 6차 결선에서 심지연이 최종 합계 20언더파로 통산 6번째 우승을 차지했다고 9월 23일 밝혔다.

골프존이 주최한 ‘롯데렌탈 롯데렌터카 G투어’ 우먼스(WOMEN’S) 6차 대회는 스크린 골프 투어 발전을 위해 연을 맺어온 롯데렌탈이 메인 스폰서로 참여했다. 이안폴터디자인, 캐디톡, 넥스트젠, 월드와인 주식회사가 후원사로 참여했다.

이번 대회는 골프존 투비전NX 투어 모드에서 1일 2라운드 36홀 스트로크 플레이로 진행됐다.

총 64명의 프로가 참가했으며 1라운드 컷오프를 거쳐 40명의 선수가 최종라운드에 출전해 더욱 치열해진 G투어 여자부 우승 자리를 놓고 열띤 경쟁을 펼쳤다. 아름다운 자연 경관의 어등산CC(어등/송정)에서 펼쳐진 스크린 여제들이 샷 대결이 현장을 찾은 많은 갤러리와 대회 생중계 시청자들에게 즐거움을 전했다.

심지연은 노보기 플레이로 어느 때보다 완벽한 경기를 펼쳤다. 1라운드 시작부터 최종라운드 마지막까지 특유의 날카로운 아이언샷과 흔들림 없는 견고한 플레이로 GTOUR 기존 강자의 면모를 자랑한 것이다. 최종 라운드 전반 홀에서만 7개의 버디를 기록했고, 후반 홀 연속 파 플레이가 이어졌지만 침착한 코스 공략을 통해 타수를 잃지 않고 최종 20언더파로 우승을 차지했다. 올 시즌 두 번째 우승이자 G투어 통산 6번째 우승으로, 시즌 막바지로 향하는 시점에서 대상 포인트와 상금왕 포인트 1위 자리까지 굳혀냈다.

이진경은 올 시즌 2차대회 우승 시 보여줬던 군더더기 없는 아이언샷과 침착한 플레이로 최종 라운드에서 본격적으로 선두 경쟁에 나섰다. 3·4번 홀과 6번홀을 포함해 버디 행진과 두 번의 이글을 기록했으나 13·14번 홀 보기로 잠시 발이 묶였고 부상 투혼에도 끝까지 치열한 선두 경쟁에 임한 이정민4와 19언더파 공동 2위를 기록했다.

루키 이정욱2 역시 최종라운드에서 활약하며 단독 4위까지 순위를 끌어올렸고, 1라운드에서 멋진 알바트로스를 보여준 이나경과 1·2부 투어를 병행하는 박단유 등 실력자들이 시즌 막바지로 갈수록 더욱 치열해진 샷 대결로 관전포인트를 남겼다.

이번 6차 결선 총상금은 7000만 원으로 경기 종료 후 진행된 시상식을 통해 우승자에게 우승 상금 1500만 원과 우승 트로피, G투어 여자부의 상징인 레드재킷을 시상하고 축하하는 자리를 가졌다.

우승을 차지한 심지연은 “마지막까지 이어진 선두 경쟁으로 어려웠지만 평소 연습하던 대로 하자는 마음으로 차분히 임한 결과 시즌 두 번째 우승을 할 수 있던 것 같다”며 “앞으로도 연습과 체력 관리를 통해 더 좋은 경기를 펼치겠다”라고 우승 소감을 밝혔다.

경기는 스크린 골프존과 네이버·다음 스포츠, 골프존 유튜브 채널, JTBC골프 채널을 통해 생중계됐다. 국내 및 글로벌 골프 팬들에게 스크린 골프 투어의 즐거움을 전하기 위해 SPTOTV 아시아채널을 통해 동남아 글로벌 녹화중계도 하게 된다.

Shim Ji-yeon wins the sixth final round of the Lotte Rental LOTTE Rent a Car G Tour WOMEN'S.

(CEO Park Kang-soo and Choi Deok-hyung, respectively) announced on September 23 that Shim Ji-yeon won her sixth career title with a final total of 20-under par at the sixth final round of the Lotte Rental LOTTE Rent-a-Car G Tour 2024 Women's event held at Golf Zone Joymaru Stadium in Daejeon on September 22.

The sixth edition of the Lotte Rental LOTTE Rent a Car G Tour WOMEN'S, organized by Golf Zone, was the main sponsor of Lotte Rental, which has been working together to develop the screen golf tour. Ian Poulter Design, Caddytalk, NextGen, and World Wine Co.

The tournament was a two-day, two-round, 36-hole stroke play event played on GolfZone 2Vision NX Tour Mode.

A total of 64 professionals participated in the tournament, and after a first-round cut, 40 players were selected to compete in the final round for the coveted G Tour Women's title. The screen goddesses battled it out at the beautifully landscaped Euryeongsan CC (Euryeongsan/Songjeong) to the delight of the many galleries and live streaming viewers.

Shim Ji-yeon was as perfect as ever with her no-bogey play. From the start of the first round to the end of the final round, she showed off her characteristic sharp iron shots and unwavering solid play to showcase her status as a GTOUR powerhouse. He carded seven birdies in the first half of the final round alone, and despite back-to-back pars on the back nine, his calm approach to the course allowed him to finish at 20-under par. It was her second victory of the season and sixth of her G Tour career, and she consolidated her lead in both the Order of Merit and money list heading into the season finale.

Lee's steady iron shots and composed play in the final round, which he displayed in his second victory of the season, allowed him to make a serious push for the lead. He posted birdies on the 3-4th and 6th holes and two eagles, but bogeys on the 13th and 14th set him back, and he finished in a tie for second place at 19-under par with Lee Jung-min 4, who battled through an injury to stay in contention for the lead.

Rookie Lee Jung-wook 2 also had a strong final round to move up to a share of fourth place, while In-Kyung In, who had a stunning albatross in the first round, and Park Dan-yu, who plays on both the Korean and European tours, left the field in a shot-for-shot battle that only intensified as the season wound down.

The total prize pool for the 6th Finals was KRW 70 million, and the winner was awarded KRW 15 million, the trophy, and a red jacket, the symbol of the G Tour Women's Division, at the award ceremony held after the match.

“It was difficult to compete for the lead until the end, but I think I was able to win my second title of the season as a result of playing calmly with the mindset of doing what I had been practicing,” said Shim Ji-yeon, who won the title. ”I will continue to practice and manage my physical fitness to play better in the future.”

The tournament was broadcast live on Screen Golf Zone, Naver Daum Sports, Golf Zone YouTube channel, and JTBC Golf channel. To bring the fun of the Screen Golf Tour to domestic and global golf fans, the tournament will also be broadcast globally in Southeast Asia on SPTOTV Asia.
