(목포=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자=전남국제수묵비엔날레사무국은 2025 전남국제수묵비엔날레 총감독으로 윤재갑 그라운드 서울 디렉터를 선정, 7일 전남도청 귀빈실에서 문화재단 이사장인 명창환 전남도 행정부지사가 위촉장(사진)을 수여했다고 밝혔다.
윤재갑 총감독은 홍익대학교 예술학과를 졸업하고, 중국 중앙미술학원에서 중국미술사를, 인도 타고르대학에서 인도미술사 석사를 수료했다.
이후 2005년 아라리오 갤러리 총괄디렉터, 제54회 베니스 비엔날레 한국관 커미셔너, 부산비엔날레 전시감독, 2012년부터 중국 상하이 하우아트뮤지엄 관장 등을 역임했다.
특히 많은 국제행사 전시기획을 통해 아시아 미술의 최전선에서 아시아와 서양을 아우르는 예술 교류를 이끌었다는 평을 받고 있다.
윤재갑 총감독은 “2025 전남국제수묵비엔날레를 통해 다양한 문화와 예술이 어우러지는 장을 만들고 싶다”며 “한국 미술의 전통 자원인 수묵을 통해 새로운 예술적 흐름을 제시하고 세계 미술계에 영감을 주도록 2025 전남국제수묵비엔날레 성공 개최를 위해 최선을 다하겠다”고 말했다.
명창환 전남도 행정부지사는 “윤재갑 총감독은 서양과 아시아를 넘나드는 전시·기획분야의 풍부한 경험과 능력을 갖고있다”며 “한국을 대표하는 세계 최고 수준의 전시로 수묵의 대중화·세계화를 통해 K-콘텐츠의 중심지로 거듭나 지역발전의 동력으로 활용되는 비엔날레를 만들어달라”고 당부했다.
