(목포=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자=(재)녹색에너지연구원은 군소도서국가지역 국가 지정기구(NED, National Designated Entity)의 4개국 대표들이 녹색에너지연구원 주요 실증 사이트 견학을 위해 최근 순천을 방문(사진)했다고 밝혔다.
이번 현장 방문은 기후기술센터·네트워크(CTCN, Climate Technology Center & Network)의 협력연락사무소(PALO, Partnerships and Liaison Office) 역량 강화 프로그램의 일환으로 CTCN의 요청에 따라 이뤄졌다.
St Kitts&Nevis, Mauritius, Jamaica, Fiji 4개 국가의 대표단은 전라남도 신재생에너지 전문기업인 ㈜유에너지에 방문하여 신재생에너지 선도 모델 소개와 주요 추진성과를 확인했다.
이어, 순천만 국가정원, 순천 팔마체육관, 순천 농산물 도매시장에 구축된 마이크로그리드 실증사이트를 견학하며 현장을 둘러봤다.
특히 국내 최초로 신재생에너지자원과 패시브하우스 기술이 접목돼 조성된 에너지 자립마을인 순천만 에너지자립마을을 방문해 그 성과를 살폈다.
황규철 녹색에너지연구원장은“군소도서국가의 기후 변화 대응과 에너지 관련 정책 수립을 모색할 수 있는 기회가 되길 바란다”라며 "녹색에너지연구원은 앞으로도 UNEP CTCN의 회원으로써 국제 기후변화 대응과 정책 활성화를 위해 최선을 다하겠다”라고 밝혔다.

This on-site visit was conducted at the request of the Climate Technology Center & Network (CTCN) as part of the CTCN's Partnerships and Liaison Office (PALO) capacity building program.
Delegations from four countries, St Kitts & Nevis, Mauritius, Jamaica, and Fiji, visited U Energy Co., Ltd., a renewable energy company in Jeollanam-do, to introduce the renewable energy leading model and confirm major progress.
