전남대 수의대생, SCI급 국제학술지에 논문 발표

(광주=브레이크뉴스) 이학수 기자=전남대학교 학부생이 SCI(E)급 국제학술지 논문에 제1저자로 논문을 발표했다.

전남대 정소희 학생(본과 4학년. 수의해부학교실, 지도교수 김중선)은 SCI(E)급 국제학술지인 ‘Molecular & Cellular toxicology’ 10월호에 임상에서 항암제로 활용되고 있는 약물이 방사선 항암치료를 방해할 수 있다는 내용의 논문을 발표했다.

정소희 학생은 이 연구에서 PARP 유전자 억제를 통한 항암효과가 확인된 항암제(Olaparib)가 방사선 항암치료과정에 수반되는 소화기 장애를 더욱 악화시킬 수 있음을 확인했다. Olaparib는 난소암을 포함한 다양한 암종에서 치료효과가 입증됐지만, 방사선치료 역시 암치료에 동반되는 치료 방안으로 인해 방사선치료와 Olaparib의 병용 치료시에 심각한 소화기 장애가 발생할 수 있어 이에 따른 주의가 필요함을 보고했다.
