IWPG 대전지부, 다문화가정 인식개선 ‘들꽃문화제’ 개최

㈔세계여성평화그룹(IWPG) 대전지부(지부장 김화정)가 26일 대전광역시 유성온천 두드림 공연장에서 120여 명이 참석한 가운데 ‘들꽃문화제’를 개최했다고 전했다.

이번 행사는 IWPG의 다문화가정 인식개선 프로젝트인 ‘들꽃이야기’의 일환으로, 대한민국의 급속한 다문화가정 증가에 따라 시민들이 문화의 다양성을 존중하고 이해하는 인식개선과 함께, 다문화가정이 평화롭게 공존할 수 있는 환경 조성에 기여하기 위해 기획됐다.

김화정 지부장은 “다문화가정이 경험하는 사회적 편견, 다문화 2세대가 겪는 학교 폭력, 다문화 부모의 역할 부재는 정책적 지원만으로는 해결할 수 없는 또 다른 차원의 어려움”이라며 “IWPG는 이 어려움을 다문화에 대한 정서적 차원의 지원과 기성 한국 사회의 인식개선을 통해 실질적으로 해결하고자 노력해나갈 것”이라고 밝혔다.

이날 다문화가정 인식개선에 공감하는 다양한 분야 지역민의 자발적인 재능기부를 통해 다채로운 공연이 펼쳐졌다. 또 인식개선의 필요성에 관해 의견을 나누는 시간도 보냈다. 아울러 다문화인들에게 전할 응원의 글을 담은 조형물을 ㈔한국다문화연구원에 기증하는 전달식을 가졌다.

중국인 참석자 김화씨는 “한국에서 다문화가정이라는 이유로 힘들었던 점도 있었지만 IWPG의 따뜻한 관심과 이해가 큰 힘이 됐다”며 “앞으로 우리 모두가 평화의 씨앗이 됐으면 좋겠다”고 소감을 전했다.

IWPG는 앞으로도 ‘들꽃이야기’를 통해 다문화 인식개선 활동을 지속적으로 실천해 평화로운 지역사회 발전에 이바지할 계획이다.
