브레이크뉴스 사옥 정원화...“영화사-독립영화 촬영지-미술관 등으로 활용 기대“

필자는 인터넷신문 브레이크뉴스의 오너(社主)이다. 올해 여름은 회사의 바깥을 정원화 하는데 시간을 보냈다.

이 건물의 등기 원본에 따르면, 회사 건물은 1936년에 완공된, 목조 건물이다. 이 때는 일제 강점기 때이다. 건물의 설계나 시공 전체는 일본인 기술자들이 주관했고, 그들에 의해서 완성 됐다. 못을 쓰지 않고, 나무로만 지은 특이한 건물이다.

글로벌시대이니만큼, 일본인 건축 기술자들에 의해 지어진 이 건물은, 민족감정을 떠나, 사물적인 존재로만 봐서, 참 아름다운 건물이라고 표현할 수 있다.

오세훈 서울시장은 서울 전체를 정원화 했으면 하는 거대한 구상을 밝힌 바 있다.

이미 국제적인 웹 영화의 유명감독인 강영만 감독이 이 장소에서 영화를 촬영, 흥행 시킨 바 있다.
