브레이크뉴스 정민우 기자= 국회 과학기술정보방송통신위원회 소속 더불어민주당 이정헌 의원이 7일 국정감사에서 SM그룹의 UBC 울산방송 소유는 방송법 위반임을 지적하며, 방송통신위원회의 신속한 조치를 촉구했다.
이 의원에 따르면 현재 UBC 울산방송의 최대주주는 SM그룹의 지주사격 회사인 ㈜삼라다. 2019년 3월 방통위가 ㈜삼라를 UBC 울산방송 최다액출자자(30%)로 승인할 당시에는 SM그룹의 자산총액이 방송법상 소유 규제 상한인 10조원을 넘지 않았다.
그러나, 이후 2021년 SM그룹의 자산이 늘어나 10조원 이상 대기업으로 지정되면서 문제가 생겼다. 현행 방송법상 자산총액 10조원 이상의 대기업은 지상파 방송 지분을 10% 이상 소유할 수 없기 때문이다.
